- Garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and fine sea salt to taste

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare the asparagus by rinsing under cold water and patting dry. Trim the woody ends.
- Set up a dredging station with three shallow bowls: flour in the first, whisked egg and milk in the second, and a mixture of panko breadcrumb, grated cheese, and spices in the third.
- Coat each asparagus spear in flour, dip in egg, and roll in the panko mixture.
- Arrange the coated spears in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Drizzle with olive oil or spritz with cooking spray.
- Bake for 10 to 14 minutes, turning halfway through until golden brown.
- Broil for an additional 1 to 2 minutes for extra crunch, watching closely.
- Finishing touches include sprinkling with remaining cheese and garnish with parsley or chives.
- Serve hot with lemon wedges and your chosen dipping sauce.
