			- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet.
- Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms. Sauté until the mushrooms are tender.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the heavy cream and thyme, and let it cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Add the chicken back to the skillet and coat it in the creamy mushroom sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- For a lighter version, you can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
- Serve with rice or pasta to soak up the delicious sauce.
