Ingredients

  • 1 loaf of sourdough bread
  • 1 cup cooked crab meat
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the top off the sourdough bread and hollow out the inside, leaving a thick shell.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the crab meat, shrimp, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, and green onions.
  4. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Fill the hollowed bread bowl with the creamy seafood mixture.
  6. Place the filled bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until heated through and the bread is slightly toasted.
  7. Serve warm, garnished with additional green onions if desired.

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the mixture.
