- 1 Box Vanilla Cake Mix
- 3 Large Eggs
- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Can (14 ounces) Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1/4 Cup Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 Teaspoon Lime Zest
- 1 Cup Whipped Topping
- 1 Cup Shredded Coconut
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Combine the cake mix, eggs, and water in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake according to package instructions until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before poking holes in it with a fork.
- Mix together the sweetened condensed milk, lime juice, and lime zest.
- Pour the mixture over the warm cake, allowing it to seep into the holes.
- Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
- Spread whipped topping over the cooled cake and sprinkle with shredded coconut.
- Chill in the refrigerator for a couple of hours before serving.
