Ingredients

- 500g Bread Flour
- 350g Water
- 100g Active Sourdough Starter
- 10g Salt
- 20g Olive Oil
- 30g Honey
Instructions
- Combine the bread flour and water in a large bowl, mixing until no dry flour remains.
- Add the active sourdough starter, salt, olive oil, and honey; mix until well combined.
- Allow the dough to rest for 30 minutes.
- Knead the dough by hand on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise at room temperature for 4-6 hours.
- Gently stretch and fold the dough in the bowl and let it rise again for 1-2 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) with the empty Dutch oven inside for at least 30 minutes.
- Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on parchment paper.
- Carefully place the loaf inside the hot Dutch oven and cover it.
- Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
- Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
For a more developed flavor, allow the dough to rise overnight in the fridge. You can customize the bread by adding herbs or garlic.
