Description

A flavorful and aromatic artisan sourdough bread infused with olive oil and honey, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g Bread Flour
  • 350g Water
  • 100g Active Sourdough Starter
  • 10g Salt
  • 20g Olive Oil
  • 30g Honey

Instructions

  1. Combine the bread flour and water in a large bowl, mixing until no dry flour remains.
  2. Add the active sourdough starter, salt, olive oil, and honey; mix until well combined.
  3. Allow the dough to rest for 30 minutes.
  4. Knead the dough by hand on a floured surface for about 10 minutes.
  5. Transfer the dough to a lightly greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise at room temperature for 4-6 hours.
  6. Gently stretch and fold the dough in the bowl and let it rise again for 1-2 hours.
  7. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) with the empty Dutch oven inside for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on parchment paper.
  9. Carefully place the loaf inside the hot Dutch oven and cover it.
  10. Bake for 30 minutes, then remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes.
  11. Let the bread cool on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

For a more developed flavor, allow the dough to rise overnight in the fridge. You can customize the bread by adding herbs or garlic.
