  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for swirl)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the sourdough starter, warm water, and pumpkin puree until well combined.
  2. Add the all-purpose flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the mixture and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-2 hours or until doubled in size.
  5. Once risen, roll the dough out into a rectangle and spread melted butter over it.
  6. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon over the buttered dough.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and place it in a greased loaf pan.
  8. Cover and let it rise again for about 30-45 minutes.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool before slicing and serving.
