- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together for the filling.
- Fill each cupcake liner halfway with batter, sprinkle a teaspoon of the brown sugar mixture on top, then cover with more batter until the liners are about ¾ full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
- For the frosting, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together, adding milk as needed for desired consistency.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes and enjoy!
Notes
- For a stronger cinnamon flavor, increase the amount of ground cinnamon in the batter.
- These cupcakes can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
