Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Cut the sponge cake into cubes and layer half of it in the bottom of a trifle dish.
  2. Drizzle half of the sherry or fruit juice over the sponge cake.
  3. Add a layer of custard over the sponge cake.
  4. Add a layer of mixed berries on top of the custard.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining sponge cake, sherry, custard, and berries.
  6. Top with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
