Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mash the chickpeas with a fork or potato masher.
  3. Add the chopped spinach, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, cumin, salt, pepper, and beaten egg to the mashed chickpeas. Mix well.
  4. Form the mixture into small patties and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the yogurt, lemon juice, and dill to create the yogurt sauce.
  7. Serve the patties warm with the yogurt sauce on the side.
