Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  6. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, followed by half of the shredded chicken and a third of the mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat the layers: sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, chicken, and mozzarella.
  8. Top with the remaining noodles, marinara sauce, and sprinkle with Parmesan and remaining mozzarella cheese.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  11. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
