- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup whipped topping
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the yellow cake mix according to package instructions.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
- Using the end of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake.
- In a saucepan, combine the caramel sauce, sweetened condensed milk, and chopped pecans over medium heat until warm.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes.
- In a separate bowl, mix the butter, brown sugar, and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spread the whipped topping over the cake and drizzle with additional caramel sauce.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use homemade caramel sauce.
- Can be made a day in advance for better flavor.
