  • 1/2 cup chopped dried apples

Instructions

  1. Pop the popcorn kernels using an air popper or on the stovetop and place them in a large bowl.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt over medium heat. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil.
  3. Allow the mixture to boil without stirring for 4-5 minutes until it turns a golden color.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and apple pie spice.
  5. Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and mix well to coat evenly.
  6. Add chopped dried apples and mix again.
  7. Spread the popcorn mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let it cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, break into pieces and serve.
