- 1 fully cooked bone-in ham (about 8–10 pounds)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
- Score the ham by making shallow diagonal cuts in a diamond pattern across the surface.
- Combine brown sugar, honey, orange juice, Dijon mustard, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Brush the ham generously with the glaze and cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 20 minutes.
- Remove foil in the last 30 minutes to allow caramelization.
- Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer; it should reach 140°F (60°C).
- Let the ham rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
Notes
You can prepare the glaze a day in advance for easier assembly. Experiment with spices or add whiskey for extra depth.
