Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1–2 Serrano peppers, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon pectin (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine blueberries, sugar, and water over medium heat.
- Stir until the sugar dissolves and the blueberries start to break down.
- Add the finely chopped Serrano peppers and lemon juice.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
- If using, stir in pectin and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before transferring to sterilized jars.
- Seal jars and let them cool completely before storing in the refrigerator.
Notes
- Adjust the number of Serrano peppers based on your spice preference.
- This jam can be used as a glaze for grilled meats.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
