Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 premade pie crust
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Combine the blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Pour the blueberry mixture into the pie crust.
  4. Dot with butter throughout the filling.
  5. Roll out the second crust and cut it into strips for a lattice top.
  6. Trim excess dough and brush the lattice crust with egg wash.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the filling bubbles.
  8. Cool the pie for at least 30 minutes before slicing.
