Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the donut pan generously.
- Mix the wet ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk together until smooth.
- Blend the dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- Combine mixtures: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fill the donut pan: Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
- Bake: Place in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool: Allow the donuts to cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
- Prepare the frosting: In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth.
- Frost the donuts: Once cooled, spread or pipe the frosting across the tops of the donuts.
