Description

Delicious and crispy baked broccoli cheese balls filled with melted cheddar, Parmesan, and aromatic spices – perfect for parties or a healthy snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups broccoli florets (finely chopped, steamed and cooled)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or seasoned)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Steam broccoli florets for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp and allow to cool.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped broccoli, breadcrumbs, cheddar, Parmesan, eggs, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until uniform.
  4. Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Optionally, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes for crispiness.
  6. Let them cool slightly and serve warm with marinara or ranch dip.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, swap out breadcrumbs for crushed gluten-free crackers or almond flour. Can also substitute cheeses as desired.
