- 1 cup apple cider
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs

- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened (for frosting)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a saucepan, bring the apple cider to a boil and reduce it to about ½ cup. Let it cool.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the reduced apple cider, and mix until just combined.
- Fill the cupcake liners about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before frosting.
- For the frosting, beat together the softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until smooth and creamy.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes with the spiced buttercream frosting.

- For a stronger apple flavor, you can add apple sauce to the batter.
- Store cupcakes in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- These cupcakes can be frozen for up to 2 months without frosting.
