Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine melted butter and sugar, then add eggs and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
- Fold in the diced apples and walnuts if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While the brownies are baking, prepare the maple glaze by whisking together maple syrup and powdered sugar until smooth.
